Mr. Swift is an owner and president of Business Traveler Services, Inc. (BTS), a minority-owned business center development company. Some of the services this company provides are: prepaid phone card vending, ATMs, Laptop Lane business centers, concierge centers, internet kiosks, FedEx drop-boxes, foreign currency exchange, cell phone rentals and InMotion movie rental centers. An assortment of these and other services are operated at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, JFK International Airport, Jacksonville International Airport, Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport, Hobby and Bush International Airports.

Mr. Swift is also owner and president of Swift Services, Inc., a company that established varied enterprises at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport - three golf shops; two sports apparel stores; a joint venture with Jackmont Hospitality to operate TGI Friday’s; and a partnership with Benjamin Books, Inc. for operation of the largest bookstore at Hartsfield.

Prior to establishing Swift Services, Inc. Mr. Swift served as the Executive Director of Dobbs-Paschal Midfield Corporation. He was responsible for the management of the company, which administered the Principal Concessionaire Agreement for 110 concessions’ locations at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport. During his tenure at Dobbs-Paschal, the business generated annual sales in excess of $90 million and more than $20 million in rent revenue.

During the Maynard Jackson administration, Mr. Swift served as Director of Purchasing, Procurement and Real Estate for the City of Atlanta which established comprehensive programs and policies resulting in significant minority and female participation in all procurement and construction - with an emphasis on airport construction, professional services and concessions.

Mr. Swift was also a partner of an eighteen unit Jack-In-Box organization based in San Antonio, Texas.
As Chief Operating Officer of this franchisee operation, he was able to increase sales by more than 12% during a downturn in the San Antonio fast food market. Additionally, he was able to reduce employee turnover from 300% annually to 100% in fourteen months. Under his leadership, the eighteen-unit franchise (at the time the largest franchisee group in Texas) received national recognition for having achieved the highest independent rating for customer service within the 1,400 unit franchise
and company store organization.

Bill was, for the past four years, Chair of the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) a national organization that addresses the interests and participation of women and minorities in all aspects of the airport industry. Prior to being elected Chair of AMAC, he served as 2nd and 1st Vice Chair, respectively, while simultaneously serving as the AMAC/FAA Annual Airport Business Diversity Conference Chair for the 2002 Atlanta and 2001 Detroit conferences. Representing AMAC and the interests of small business operators in airports nationwide, he has participated in conferences, symposiums and workshops – focused on training, development of industry opportunities, finance, tailoring legislation - in the role of panelist, moderator, presenter, and speaker, which included giving testimony before industry-related Congressional Subcommittees.
